Refunds, postponements, and work already begun

These rules apply to onboarding completion studies, welcome-day observation, intake paper review, and joiner interviews commissioned from Workspace Fern.

Eligibility

A full refund of fees paid is available if we cancel the engagement for studio reasons, or if you cancel in writing more than fourteen days before the first scheduled observation or interview.

Timeframe

Refund requests should arrive within thirty days of the event that gives rise to them (cancellation, postponement, or a deliverable you reject as incomplete against the estimate).

Full and partial refunds

If document review has started but no observation has occurred, we refund fees minus the paper-review portion already done, calculated from the estimate. After observation, fees for that half-day are non-refundable. Interview fees are refundable only for interviews not yet held.

Non-refundable items

The 30% deposit that holds a welcome-morning date is non-refundable within fourteen days of that date, because travel and diary space are already committed. Pre-paid travel from Mungyeong-si that cannot be recovered is deducted from any refund.

Process

Write to hello@workspace-fern.click with the estimate reference and the reason. We confirm in writing within five working days and, where a refund is due, process it within fourteen working days of that confirmation.

Method

Refunds return to the bank account or transfer method used for the original payment.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may move a welcome-morning observation once without charge if you give ten days’ notice and a new date within three months. A second move is treated as a cancellation of that half-day.

No-shows

If we arrive for an agreed observation and the morning has been cancelled without notice, that half-day fee is charged. If joiners miss interviews, we offer one replacement slot; unused slots after that are billed as held time.

Work already started and materials

Annotated packs already returned to you remain yours. Draft report pages prepared before cancellation are supplied if you have paid for that stage; otherwise they stay in the studio file.
